Here at Mellion Orthodontics, our goal is to make your first appointment both comfortable and effective in determining your needs and smile goals. Your initial appointment consists of an office tour, digital X-rays and photographs, a thorough examination and a discussion of your potential treatment options. This visit takes about 60 minutes to complete, and will give our orthodontists and team key insights into your needs so we can provide you with the right type of treatment for you.
Our goal during your first visit is to determine your or your child’s long-term oral health needs. By the end of this visit, Dr. Zachary Mellion, Dr. Alex Mellion or Dr. Joseph Mellion will have determined one of the following outcomes:
- Treatment is needed now.
- Treatment will be needed, but can be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred.
- The treatment options that are available to you.
We will discuss all your treatment options, treatment length and financial options with you. We are committed to ensuring that you leave our office with a clear understanding of your specific needs, the types of treatment available to you and an understanding of how long those treatments will take.
