Dr. Joseph Mellion earned his bachelor’s degree followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Case Western Reserve University. He earned his Master’s degree in Orthodontics at Saint Louis University in 1980, and has practiced in the Fairlawn and Medina areas as an orthodontist since that time. He regularly completes continuing education courses to stay abreast of the latest developments in dentistry and orthodontics, and in 1991 became a board certified orthodontist. As an orthodontist, he is committed to treat patients as he would like to be treated himself, providing them with the highest possible quality of care.

- Pierre Fauchard Academy Distinguished Dentist Award (2008)

- Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation of St. Louis Merit Award (2024)
Dr. Joe resides in Akron, Ohio, with his wife, Dianne. They have three grown children and nine grandchildren who they love spending time with. Dr. Joe greatly enjoys hiking, running and exercising, biking, traveling, playing the piano and motorcycle riding around the country and in Europe. Dr. Joe is also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
